Belman Flexibles India engineered and manufactured two Fabric Expansion Joints – (Type FG) for a boiler heating system in a paper mill in Europe.

The engineering team of the client had made very good specifications and drawings for the project and were very specific in what Expansion Joints they needed. For them, it was important that the manufacturer could design and manufacture according to their requirements as well as meeting the given delivery time.

Fabric Expansion Joints – Type FG for paper mill

Based on the specifications and drawings from the client, Belman Flexibles India supplied type Belman FG Fabric Expansion Joints as the media was flue gas. The Belman FG Expansion Joints are  multilayer fabric Expansion Joints that is ideal for the working conditions often found in flue gas systems. The sealing layer of the Belman-FG Expansion Joints are made from PTFE, which has excellent resistance to the chemical harsh environment found in flue gas systems.

This Fabric Expansion Joints type is often used in flue gas systems, where the pressure is relatively low. In flue gas duct systems, it is often required that the Expansion Joints transfers as little reaction forces to the pipeline as possible and here the Fabric Expansion Joints are the preferred product as it in practically sense does not have any spring rate. The Fabric Expansion Joints’ ability to take up large movements in multiple directions often makes it the preferred choice of Expansion Joints in flue gas systems.

The Belman-FG was supplied with steel flanges for bolting into the piping system.
