HIGH-PRESSURE EXPANSION JOINTS
MADE FROM HASTELLOY C-4

These high-pressure Hastelloy Expansion Joints were the perfect solution for a Cement Plant in Germany.
2.5 meters-long Expansion Joints
These large sized DN 600 and DN 550 Expansion Joints are 2.5 meters long. High requirements were placed on the Expansion Joint design as well as on testing due to extremely high-pressure operating conditions together with the requirement that they absorb large axial movements. In order to fulfil the above requirements, Belman designed these special high-pressure Expansion Joints with Equalising rings, which are externally fitted on the Bellows. The purpose of the rings is to reinforce the Bellows against internal pressure and enhance the stability and pressure integrity.
Made from Hastelloy C-4
As per the client specifications, the Bellows and the inner sleeves are made from Hastelloy C-4 – a material with outstanding high temperature stability as well as high ductility and corrosion resistance.
Quality control
In addition, several quality tests, including 100% penetrant test, radiographic test and leak test, have been performed in order to ensure the safety requirements.
